The Opicarus campaign against banks was continued with three significant DDoS attacks last night. The attacks began a little after three o’clock this morning and took down the websites of the Yangon Stock Exchange in Myanmar, the Caracas Stock Exchange in Venezuela, and the Central Bank of Nicaragua. All three websites were fully restored within four hours of the attack. The attack was carried out by a hacker who goes by the name of Sh0ck.0fg0d(). While Sh0ck.0fg0d() does not identify as a member of Anonymous, he does appear to support a number of their values, as well as some of their operations. Sh0ck.0fg0d() appears to view himself as a grey hat hacker but has a tendency to act more as a black hat especially with actions like those that were taken last night.
