Israeli Authorities have uncovered yet another influence campaign being carried out by Iran against Israeli citizens. According to a recent report, the Hebrew news website “Tel Aviv Times” was actually being operated by Iranian operatives who were using the website to try to influence Israeli public opinion. The website saw fairly good levels of traffic to their heavily-biased articles with an average of 65,000 visitors per month. This report comes closely on the heels of a number of other websites in as many as 11 other languages that were tied to Iranian influence operations, as well as Twitter shutting down 284 Iranian accounts. Facebook also shutdown 652 accounts for spreading “fake news” in support of the Iranian regime.
