ISIS Threatens Anonymous

Members of the United Cyber Caliphate, ISIS’s once capable cyber-wing, have threatened to kill members of Anonymous.  Anonymous has been waging a highly successful war against ISIS since the attack in Paris on 13 November 2015.  The hacktivist collective has worked to report social media accounts belonging to members of ISIS and their supporters, though at sometimes not very accurately.  The group has also taken down a large number of ISIS websites, including darknet pages which were used for donating Bitcoin to the group.  ISIS has finally had enough and has begun to post images of “Jihad John” kneeling next to an ISIS prisoner wearing a Guy Fawkes mask.  The terrorist group has also begun posting a warning to Anonymous that says:

“A message to all Anonymous organization: You are the ones who started

the war against us. So expect what will harm you. You are the enemies of

Allah. And die in your rage, you and who provoked you against us you

know very well that your strongest branch has joined us.”

The “strongest branch” that ISIS refers to in their warning is AnonGhost who joined ISIS shortly after the death of their friend Abu Hussain Al Britani, who has the head of ISIS cyber-division. The terrorist group then went on to us a paraphrased version of Anonymous signature tagline to continue their threat to Anonymous by saying “We are Islamic State hacking division. We will find you. And we will kill you”.
