Relations between Russia and the United Kingdom are beginning to tense up yet again following statements made by the British Foreign Office. This morning Peter Wilson, the U.K. ambassador to The Hague, announced that Russian intelligence operative compromised servers belonging to the British Foreign Office in March. This announcement comes closely on the heels of the Dutch National Police expelling four Russian GRU agents after they were caught attempting to breach systems at a Global Chemical weapons testing facility. At the same time, Australia has announced plans to put Russia on notice that their continued cyber-attacks around the world will not be tolerated and that cyber-space needs to be held to the same international laws as other commerce spaces. Russia has responded by once again claiming that they are innocent and that the international community is wrong in continually blaming them for attacks without proof.
