Threat to Private Industry Decreases Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

India/Pakistan: Tensions between India and Pakistan have begun to ease as both nations are working towards a peaceful agreement.  As these tensions ease, so does the likelihood of disruptions to business operations in both nations.  This week, Pakistan begun to round up suspected terrorists and relatives of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) leaders.  While this will still likely not be enough to satisfy India currently, it is a step in the right direction for rebuilding some semblance of peace between the two nations for a time.  Delegates from both nations met this week in Islamabad to discuss reopening border crossings and lowering the states of emergency in various regions along both sides of the border.

Analyst Notes

As both nations work towards returning to normal, the likelihood of business disruptions and cyber-attacks which could negatively impact private industry decreases.
