Trump Openly Admits Cyber-Attack on Russia

Russia: During an interview with CCN, President Trump openly admitted that the United States launched a cyber-attack against a Russian target during the midterm elections.  President Trump stated that he could not go into details of what was targeted or how and admitted that his intelligence advisors have asked him not to discuss it publicly.  While very few doubt that the United States or Russia target each other with cyber-attacks, neither side has ever openly discussed it and have at least maintained the illusion that it doesn’t happen.

Analyst Notes

An open admission like this by President Trump could possibly cause a shift in how both nations interact in cyber-space and possibly lead to another escalation in activity between both nations.
