JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Segment Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing vertical specific marketing plans to build brand awareness as well as creating a strong MQL funnel to drive sales performance.  This position will be responsible for the creation and implementation of thought leadership, lead generation, upsell / cross-sell, retention and sales enablement campaigns.  The Segment Marketing Manager will be part of a tech savvy, collaborative and goal-oriented marketing team. Candidates must be self-driven, results-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plan for various target market segments focusing on brand development, lead generation, product upsell / cross-sell, and retention programs
  • Lead the creation of compelling marketing content and assets to convey the value of our solutions to targeted audiences. Assets may include: blog posts, social media, case studies, testimonials, articles, white papers, infographics and videos that can be utilized across multiple marketing channels
  • Develop and execute outbound strategies to distribute content assets to improve brand awareness, drive demand and influence purchase decisions
  • Develop sales support materials including: presentations, brochures, sell sheets, client profiles/case studies
  • Track, report, and analyze marketing programs and campaigns in order to maximize effectiveness of budget and efforts
  • Provide event marketing support in collaboration with the Field Marketing Manager including booth presence, sponsorship, at show engagement and post event follow-up
  • Understand key buyer personas and sales success factors while developing programs and tactics to address them
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity trends, competitors and industry best practices to look for ways to continuously improve our strategies, execution and to develop related content
  • Work closely and collaboratively with Director of Marketing, sales, and technical teams in order to develop and execute programs
  • effectively Manages segment marketing budget

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND CORE COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience
  • Experience in developing integrated marketing communication strategies and campaigns in a B2B environment
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Familiarity with online publishing best practices, social media platforms, CRM tools (Salesforce) and marketing automation systems (HubSpot)
  • Ability to maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail
  • A high degree of personal initiative, accountability and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Results-driven and positive team player, highly motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • B2B experience in one of the following areas: IT, Information Security or Cyber, SaaS
