Following statements made by a number of larger nations, it appears that Latvia has been moved to speak up as well.  Latvia named Russia’s GRU as being responsible for a number of espionage attacks on government systems, as well as a number of intrusions into defense systems.  According to a government spokesman, the GRU utilized spear-phishing campaigns to gain access to sensitive systems, a well-known tactic utilized by multiple Russian threat actors.  The Latvian government would not give any details about the duration of any of the attacks nor about the level of damage cause by any of them.
