Anonymous Begins to Gear Up for OpCatalonia Push

Members of Anonymous are starting to get ready for extensive targeting of the Spanish government over the coming weeks.   These attacks are in response to the Spanish government’s refusal to recognize the Catalonian vote to self-govern. A number of Anonymous members and supporters have already begun making their plans for the operation, which will target the Spanish government as well as government-run organizations.  Recently, Anonymous has been struggling to sustain support for operations that last for more than a couple of days.  Previously, a month-long sustained operation would be easy for the hacktivist group, however that has not been the case as of late.  While the group will likely successfully take several websites offline during the operation, it is unlikely that the group will be able to carry out continued operations over a several week period. Instead we will likely see a number of attacks clustered together at various times over the next month.
