Following ISIS’ recent push on Facebook to become relevant again, Anonymous responded in kind by pushing back. Over the last week members of Anonymous have targeted ISIS, extensively working to get ISIS accounts removed from all social media platforms. This is not the first time that ISIS has been targeted by Anonymous. Anonymous has extensively targeted ISIS ever since the ISIS attacks in the streets of Paris in November of 2015. Members of Anonymous have successfully and extensively targeted ISIS supporters online and the small number of accounts belonging to ISIS members that the group was able to find is very telling on how much online support the Islamic extremist group still has.
