Anonymous has claimed to have taken down over 20 websites belonging to the Venezuelan government this morning, as well as compromising a number of databases. A full list of websites that were targeted is still being compiled and evaluated at this time. The group has already posted compromised database information from the central observatory online and has plans on releasing more data. The group warned of the attacks two days ago and began to finalize their plans at that time. The attacks started in the middle of the night last night and have continued throughout the morning. Ever since the situation in Venezuela began to deteriorate with the economic collapse, Anonymous has been going after Venezuelan government websites in protest of the situation that Venezuelan citizens were being forced into.
