The beverage company BevMo has suffered a data breach that has reportedly compromised the cards of thousands of customers. BevMo stated that during the time of August 2nd through September 26th, an unauthorized user gained access to the website and installed malicious code into the checkout page, which stole the information that any user entered on that page. BevMo has since removed the code and has been collaborating with law enforcement. Data breaches like these can be some of the most detrimental because of the information stolen and the latency in time before the breach was disclosed.

BevMo have made themselves available for consulting throughout this mitigation process. If a user has used the website during the infection time, that user should cancel their cards and alert their banks and credit card companies to be aware and alert for any malicious activity.
