NewAnonWorld continued to target Israeli organizations yesterday with attacks on the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Foreign Trade Administration, and the website of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. While NewAnonWorld claimed that each one of the sites was offline for five to six hours, the results of checks on the sites were mixed. The outages appear to have only been intermittent over a brief period, with some users not experiencing any difficulty connecting to any of the websites around the time of the attacks. While Israel regularly becomes a target for attacks from hacktivists, especially members of Anonymous, there is typically a geopolitical event involving Israel that acts as a catalyst for the attacks, at this time there does not appear to have been any noticeable reason for this most recent string of attacks.
