Ghost Squad has claimed to have DDoS’ed YouTube last night for a two-hour period. According to two different posts from the group’s Twitter account, the attack was launched by HaxStroke. The attack left YouTube inaccessible for users throughout North and South America, and Europe. Users could navigate to the page, but nothing more than the basic layout of the page would load. Ghost Squad is a highly capable group who has been targeting governments around the world for several years now. The group does not always give an explanation for why they target the organizations that they attack, and this attack was no different.
