Due to a software glitch, Singapore Airlines site was accessed and 285 of their customers were affected in the process, 278 of which had personal data compromised. The personal data consisted of names, email address, account numbers, membership tier statuses, KrisFlyer miles, recent miles transactions, upcoming flights, and KrisFlyer rewards. The additional seven of the 285 customers had their passport information taken, but an insider at the airline’s headquarters said accounts had not been tampered with, and all financial information is currently safe. It seems as if the bug stems from a change to the website on Friday, but it looks as if it was caught on the same day. The bug itself is likely to be a one-off software.
