The hacker known as VirusSec has struck out against South Africa yet again. This is the third attack by VirusSec in just over a one-month period against the South African government. In late June the website of the Presidency was taken offline. Just over a week ago the Department of Environmental Affairs was attacked, and Tuesday night the official website of the city of Tshwane was taken offline and replaced with the words “Government of greed.” At this time it does not appear that these attacks by VirusSec against the South African government will probably be stopping anytime soon.
