Anonymous (OpAssange): Following yesterday’s claimed attack on Queen Mary’s University, more attacks and targeting took place by other actors over the evening and throughout the morning. Over the evening, Anonymous’ JTSEC3313 carried out reconnaissance activity against two more educational institutions in the United Kingdom–St. John’s School and College, and South Axholme Academy, as well as Banko Internacional in Ecuador. This was closely followed this morning by Iznaye Cyber Group’s Blue Dragon posting the contents of a SQL database belonging to The Private Technical University of Loja, Ecuador, (Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja). The next several days will be very telling of how OpAssange will progress.
Analyst Notes
It is possible that over the coming days the focus of the operation could continue to spread, putting more private organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ecuador at risk.
