Brazilian Army Works to Bolster Cyber-Readiness

The Brazilian Army coordinated and ran a combined cyber-exercise to bring together military and civilian institutions in an attempt to bolster their nations cyber-defenses.  The exercise, which was named Cyber Guardian (Guardião Cibernético), simulated cyber-attacks on finance, nuclear, and defense systems to promote coordination between government, military, and civilian organization with the goal that the increased coordination among all participants would lead to the best solutions for each problem.  23 various organizations put forward 115 participants who worked together to defend against 62 simulated attacks over 3 days.  This is an important step for the Brazilian government as they have seen increased cyber-attacks, especially in the financial realm, over the past year.
