A court in Bucharest has ruled that the hacker known as Guccifer will be extradited to the United States. During a session on Monday the court in Alba Iulia ruled that the Romanian citizen Marcel Lazar Lehal, aka Guccifer, was eligible to be extradited to the United States following the completion of a seven-year prison sentence in Romania. Guccifer rose to fame after compromising accounts belonging to former Secretary of State Colin Powell and members of the Bush family, while also claiming to have hacked Hillary Clinton–a claim which was later found to be false. While currently he is slated to be extradited to the United States at the end of his sentence, this ruling can be appealed.
